Autonomy & Community
The Master in Theatre is a full-time programme spread over two years. The programme language is English. It balances autonomy with community. All meetings are scheduled on Mondays and Tuesdays in Maastricht or on location.
Most organised meetings are planned during the first semester (September-December). In the second semester (February-June) there is a shift from organised to self-organised. After the first two semesters, you are completely self-organised. This structure allows you to combine the Master in Theatre with your professional activities.
Rather than a fixed curriculum, the programme offers a flexible ‘mosaic’ of encounters, helping you to contextualize your artistic project and research. Over three semesters, you transition from structured learning to full independence, culminating in your final artist project and a final communication of your artistic research.
An intensive collective environment with inspiring workshops, a layered mentoring system and a rich reflexive community.
A personalized trajectory where you select interlocutors tailored to your artistic and research needs.
A continuous critical dialogue with peers, guest lecturers, performance artists, and professionals from various disciplines, helping refine your discourse and vocabulary.
A hands-on training centred on your artistic practice, culminating in a final artistic project presented in the professional field.
