In the base year, all students follow a shared programme.
In your first year of the Bachelor of Theatre programme, you will learn about the different disciplines and artistic roles of the performing artist — actor, performer, director, and designer.
Focusing on one main subject per term, you’ll explore various art forms through broader themes such as body, space, image, and language. You will observe, investigate, and be inspired. Each term concludes with a moment of reflection and sharing — looking both back and ahead.
Through each training session, guided by the theme, you lay an essential foundation for developing your craft. This first year lays fertile ground for your personal and artistic growth. Central to this is the cultivation of a collaborative, curious, sensitive, and reflective attitude.
At key points throughout the year, learning takes place beyond the academy’s walls. We venture into the world to learn from new environments and unexpected encounters — because art isn’t confined to the academy; it truly comes to life in the real world.
The portfolio is a vital part of your study path. In it, you’ll document your artistic process, track your growth, and shape your direction.
