Biografie

Juri Zanger (*1999 in Vienna, AUT) is a director, author, producer and performer.

He played as an actor and performer in Austria and Germany, among others in the "Junges Ensemble Hörbiger" (Vienna), at the Schauspielhaus (Vienna), the Theater zum Himmel (Vienna), the Bronski & Grünberg (Vienna), the Zacherlfabrik (Vienna), the Theater Kosmos (Bregenz), the Deutsches Theater (Berlin), and in performances by Claudia Bosse (in Vienna and at the FFT Düsseldorf). He has also worked in austrian series and films as well as in commercials and music videos.

Furthermore, he was assistant director for the production "Mit freundlichen Grüßen, eure Pandora" (directed by Paul Spittler) at Kosmos Theater (Vienna), and after that assistant director for "Who the fuck is Helga?" (directed by Bärbel Strehlau) at Werk X-Petersplatz (Vienna). As a writer and director, he shot a shortfilm called "Max" and directed a 15min theatre-performance called "Ich bin Issei" (at Bronski&Grünberg Vienna). Since 2020, he is artistic director in his association "Connecting Perceptions".

Besides his artistic career he worked in a political party for 3 years and has a bachelors degree in political science, specialised in International Politics, Eastern Europe and the European Union.

Since August 2022, he is studying directing (BA) at the Toneelacademie Maastricht (NL).
