Monday the 15th of January 2019, Ton van Kempen has died.

Ton was a teacher in Cultural Criticism at the Toneelacademie Maastricht. He was a fantastic teacher, a great colleague and a wonderful person. Together with his wife Nicoline van de Beek, he wrote the book 'Madame Manet', where they uniquely combined fiction and art-history. A few years ago we gave this precious book as a present to our graduating students.
Ton was passionate and driven. A natural storyteller with an eye for details as well as for great aspects of everything that surrounded him.

The family is privately saying goodbye to Ton. On February the 15th there will be a memorialday for Ton in his residence Culemborg.
