• Your minimum age is 17.

- During the entrance 'examination' you must have demonstrated artistic talent as is shown by: expressive ability, analytical skills, independent thinking, working from observation and imagination, spatial feeling, form feeling, colours and materials, individuality and team spirit.

• As a candidate you must hold a Dutch “VWO” diploma, “HAVO” diploma, management training [middenkader] diploma, or specialist training [specialistenopleiding] diploma within the framework of the Adult and Vocational Education Act [WEB] (level 4). In some cases this requirement can be waived; please contact the programme coordinator to learn more.

• Trainee/internship experience in the theatre is desirable.

The academic programme is (mainly) in Dutch. If Dutch is not your native language you are required to attend a language course before starting your studies at the Toneelacademie Maastricht.
