The selection course for our one-year teacher training programme consists of four parts.
Part 1: CV
We would like to talk to you about your theatre background, your current work and your motivation for being a theatre teacher. We do this based on your CV. We conduct these interviews in groups, so that you can get to know the other candidate students. Send your CV with a photo at least 24 hours in advance to coordinator Nathalie Roymans.
Part 2: Portfolio
Compile a portfolio with examples of artworks, music fragments, articles, photos, facts, jokes, drawings, stories, statements, events, anecdotes... that inspire you to get started as an actor/director/performer/....
In this, we would like to see and hear what sources you draw from as an artist/theatre-maker. What material stimulates or fascinates you when playing/directing/making/thinking about theatre? Bring this portfolio to the selection day, as a guide for an interview and an assignment.
Part 3: Work session on the floor
We will work with you on the floor. This will introduce you to our way of working from practice. You don't need to prepare anything for this.
Part 4: Interview
At the end of the selection days, there will be a joint interview, during which we will discuss the content and form of the training course and, of course, there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
